over 70’s
Weston-super-Mare – Wednesday 12th January 2022
The Over 70s made the trip to Weston-Super-Mare to play in a four team tournament, the other teams being Bournemouth, Exeter and Clevedon.
Two players made their debut for the Over 70s, Martin and Goldy.
Yeovil played Exeter in their first game and won 1-0 thanks to a well taken goal by debutant Goldy Kelleher.
The second game saw Yeovil up against Clevedon and again Yeovil won 1-0 thanks to a Rog Brimble penalty.
The final game against Bournemouth saw Yeovil go 1-0 down but a great strike by Rog Brimble gave Yeovil a well deserved draw.
A great all round team performance ensured that Yeovil remained undefeated and become Tournament winners.
